The Opening Ceremonies for the 2014 Paralympics took place last night before thousands of spectators, mostly Russians. Ric and I sat 11 rows from the top but had a great view and got the full effect of the artistic displays. We shared the experience with the families of Josh Pauls, #27, and Tyler Caron, #11. The entertainment was spectacular and definitely outdid Torino and Vancouver. Hearing Vladimir Putin speak to open the Games was definitely surreal in light of the situation with the Ukraine.
