I was honored to have been recognized, Saturday, October 19, at Cardigan Mountain School for the Distinguished Alumnus Award for Service! I owe a big part of my personal and athletic development to my experience at Cardigan. It was great to be back and I need to get back there more often. The students, staff, faculty, campus and Board are terrific. To all of my friends and classmates who haven't made a visit recently, it will be worth it. As I said when I addressed the students, parents, faculty and Board, the friends we made at Cardigan are for a lifetime. I stressed to students how important it is to take advantage of their opportunities to try so many new things while at Cardigan and to appreciate each day. My world changed five months after graduating and I truly appreciate the support I feel from this unique place.

Finally, there are no words to describe how I felt to be at Cardigan to honor Coach Marion's contributions to the school and to so many students. How fitting that his plaque has been mounted on an a large boulder under the scoreboard on the football field.
